Q: Zienna, can you give us a background about yourself and your modeling Career thus far? A: Well, I'm an 18-year old model from a tiny island in Denmark called Bornholm. I started modeling as soon as I turned 18, in August 2012. I've always known that I wanted to do babe/glamour/lingerie pictures. To me, there's just something sexy and powerful about them, and I love the whole process from the photo shoot to the finished pictures! So far I've done around 10 shoots, a fashion show and I've been featured on different websites and in "VMAX" which is a Danish car/babe magazine. |
Q: What was your very first photo shoot like? How'd you feel before, after and during it? And how does it compare to your more recent shoots?
A: My first photo shoot was a very weird thing for me. I never thought I would be a model! But as soon as I got in front of the camera I just felt 'at home'. And my photographer actually said that I was "born to do this!" Lol, I feel the same now!
I'm getting better by each shoot and I've luckily never had a hard time. It always comes natural to me and I'm really enjoying myself.
Q: How has social media websites and Model Mayhem helped you? Were there any problems with any of these websites?
A: I got my Model Mayhem profile a few days ago and there's already a lot of interest. Just a shame I live so far away from USA, there's a lot of great people I would love to work with there! I've got a lot of great photographers waiting for me to go to Copenhagen too, so it's nice to have a lot of work! I try to find the very best photographers since I usually pay for my own travels and I can't afford to travel 10 times a month, so I try to focus on the professionals, and not spend my time and money with the "for fun" photographers.
I'm very serious about my career.
I love using both Facebook and now Model Mayhem, it's a great way to meet people and get some great connections. So far I haven't had any problems.

Q: As a model how do you view Modeling? Are you just a subject for an artist. Or is modeling an art form? Or do you just view it as a career?
A: I think being a glamour model is more about the model and not what she's wearing.
I personally love outstanding glamour models! To me a good glamour model has natural looking/soft curves, hour glass figure and a pretty face. I'm in love with Kelly Brook lol!
I don't consider myself a subject for an artist. I am an artist! I always come up with new ideas for a photo shoot, what to wear, how to pose, what facial expressions would look good and so on. I give it a lot of thought and a lot of time. I often hear that my kind of modeling is about "selling sex". To me it’s far from it! I'm not trying to look sexy for a man, or anyone else. I'm doing it for myself, because I love it and feel good.
I know that's my passion and hopefully I’ll be able to make a career of it.
Q: You mentioned "selling sex" ...You're a glamour and lingerie model, which is usually associated with sex based work, some glamour work even includes nudity... is there a fine line that you don't cross, or is there more to it? What are your opinions on implied, nudity and un-tasteful work?
A: Yes to me there is a clear line. I want to keep my pictures sexy but beautiful - not vulgar. I never do pictures with my private parts showing because that's just not my style. Maybe it will change some day but haven't so far. I can be topless, but most is covered, I'm not showing it all off. That ruins the picture for me. I've got a lot of respect for all models, either doing the same as me or not.
To me, my pictures aren’t about sex. They are about me living my life and showing my passion. To me it’s powerful and beautiful.

Q: Who's your favorite role model?
A: That must be Masha Lund! She's also a Danish model with a lot of success. Really love her work she's stunning and her pictures are just my style!
Q: If you were to pick a spiritual animal that means the most to you, what would it be?
A: Well my astrological sign is a lion, so I guess that's it lol
Q: Are you a name brand girl? If so what are your clothing lines?
A: Hmm. I don't really care about brands. If it looks good, I like it! My style is very similar to the ''old'' Kim Kardashian actually. Heels, tight pants & a blazer!
But I like brands such as Louis Vuitton and of course Christian Loubooutin ..

Q: Other than The USA where else do you wish to travel to? A: I have a dream to do a photo shoot in Bora Bora, or Thailand at a gorgeous beach with beautiful water. BUT! The ultimate dream is to go to Jamaica & see all my favorite artists. Q: Those are all great locations! Where do you see yourself in 5 years? A: In LA! With a great career. I'm crossing my fingers ;-) Q: How would you describe yourself to others? A: I'm a very outgoing and happy person. I'm very committed to my work but I love to have fun. I'm very open about myself & I'm very trustful. |
Q: I looked over as many or your photos as I could, some of the ones that really stood out are your VMAX photos, your Black and white Claus Ronald Jensen photos in the bed, the Black and white Martin Stoltz series and the military/camo series. Would you like to go into detail on these photos?
A: What details would you like about them? :)
Q: How about the military one first, what was your inspiration behind it? Did you have fun dressing up in something different?
A: Yes that was one of my favorite shoots so far! I love guns and I loved the idea of a sexy photo shoot with guns & military gear. My boyfriend is in the army so I got a lot of cool stuff from him & the guns came from "guns&powder.dk" where the photo shoot also took place.

Q: The VMAX one is obviously a car based shoot. What was the outcome of that shoot? A: It was featured in VMAX magazine, my behind the scenes video and the pictures were posted on Ekstrabladet.dk with my interview. :-) Q: Both Black and white shoots have a very similar feel to them, it's very intimate and beautiful, which is very striking. What was the motivation and inspiration behind those shoots? A: When I think of a photo shoot in a studio I get very specific pictures in my mind. It can become boring very fast when the background is all white. |
